Driving Leadership Through Corporate Social Value

We realize the significance of being socially responsible, not only to ourselves, but also to the communities we serve, and our stakeholders. So, we proactively and consistently engage in sustainable practices, thereby leading to sustainable development, with a strong motive of enriching the lives of people where we operate. Our consistent, high-impact Corporate Social Value - CSV initiatives are derived from our constant focus on three major areas -

Environment and Health

With Wel-Shiksha, we yearn to enhance the teaching & learning process for teachers and students by incorporating technological advancements. We've digitized government primary classrooms, and through our community-driven initiatives, we've also spread awareness among neighbouring communities about the unparalleled significance of education.

Gayatri Devi Ved Vidyalayaa

The Gayatri Devi Ved Vidyalaya was born out of the idea of protecting and promoting the Indian traditional Vedic culture. It follows a perfect blend of Yajurveda education and modern education; thereby, kids have been blessed with the wealth of the Gurukul system and knowledge of essential subjects, such as English, Mathematics, and Computers.

Welspun Super Sport Women Program

We began our Welspun Super Sport Women Program with the sole intention of identifying, encouraging, and empowering female athletes, especially the ones that come from challenging, humble backgrounds. Till now, with this program, we have supported many female athletes across a variety of sports, such as para badminton, swimming, cycling, athletics, weight lifting, and gymnastics, thereby breaking gender stereotypes and boundaries.

Watershed Management

The Welspun Group is known for its Integrated Community and Village Development project, among other wellness initiatives. One of the key steps include mobilizing community actions for conserving and managing local resources, especially through establishing water user and resource groups. The project is also focused on developing capacity at the grassroots in order to ensure that communities can sustainably and equitably manage resources. This is achieved through training and greater exposure for user groups, especially at the village level. For ensuring long-term sustainability of project benefits and assets, mechanisms are modelled through measures like maintenance funds, low-cost yet effective initiatives, and compulsory contributions from the community. Partnerships with local Governments will help in ensuring higher reach and scale, achievable through PPP (public private partnership) ventures in big-ticket development of watershed projects
